BARBARIAN BEST in slot
ARMOUR
head: mempo of twilight
Our second most important offensive statistic, not including strength, is attack speed and you normally can't get that on your helmet so the Mempo of Twilight is a really nice option that rolls with up to 9% attack speed and no less then 8%. In order for this helmet to beat out Immortal Kings though you need to have one of your random magic properties rolled up as critical hit chance as we can't afford to lose that on this slot. You're gonna get a nice chunk of resists from this and just be sure to grab one that is rolled with strength. As for the second random rolled attribute you can hope for additional strength, vitality to compliment the 10-12% life bonus on the helm, armor or whatever else you may want.

torso: immortal king's eternal reign
There's nothing that can compete with this chest piece and here's why. On the defensive front you're getting guaranteed Vitality armor and all resist. On the offensive side you're getting guaranteed strength and three sockets. You only get one random attribute on this piece but the only thing you really need to ask for is additional hit points from either vitality/life%, or maybe some additional strength if you're lacking in that area.

shoulders: vile ward
Vile Ward is simply the best in slot item for all classes in my opinion and that opinion is supported by the data presented by Diabloprogress.com. These puppies can roll with a very high primary stat and have built in armor and all resistances which makes them very hard to beat. I am not going to say much here except that if you've got around 20 to 40 million gold to spend and want to purchase an item that you will never replace then this is a good bet. It may not net you the most DPS for such a large expenditure, but it will be enough of an increase in dps and survivability to make it a worth while investment.

wrist: lacuni prowler
Lacuni Prowlers are usually near the top of my list for all classes so its no surprise that they were my choice for the Barbarian before I even looked at the top ten list. Out of the top ten five players use these and five have rare items so as far as Legendary items go these are definitely Barbarian Best In Slot. You'll need these to roll with high Dexterity of course as well as critical hit chance in order to be best in slot and in a perfect world you'll also get some armor or all resistances to help with survivability. Other then that these are definitely worth the money.
|
hands: immortal king's irons
Our most important stat is critical hit chance and these gloves come with at least 9%. They also count towards our two piece set bonus for IK and gives us 60 all resist. We get some built in strength, life regeneration and damage reduction. We would hopefully get some attack speed and critical damage on our random property rolls but we would prefer attack speed over critical damage.
|
waist: Immortal King's Tribal Binding
There's a few different good choices for belts for various reasons. The Witching Hour is a great belt even though it comes with guaranteed intelligence. You can grab a Witching Hour belt with Strength and you get a great whirlwind barbarian belt with bonuses to attack speed and critical damage. You can also hope for some defensive traits on it to make it more well rounded like armor, all resist or hit point increasing traits.
|
Legs: inna's temperance
Inna's Temperance gives us some really great stats and there's no other options that really compete with it. First off you get attack speed and crit chance on pants which normally don't roll with it. These pants can also roll with a great deal of dexterity on them which makes them a solid choice for a Barbarian. The movement speed on these are nice as well and two sockets help to supplement the base stats. You can't go wrong with these pants so grab them when you find a good deal or rejoice if you find them on the ground!
|
feet: fire walkers
Fire Walkers are not only decent boots they are also very visually pleasing and do some additional damage as you're whirlwinding through your enemies. You also get some damage reduction which is nice and guaranteed 12% movement speed. In order for these to be Best in Slot you need 200+ strength and any combination of defensive traits.
|
Neck: ouroboros
The top ten players unaminously decided that there wasn't a legendary amulet that met their needs the way that a well rolled Rare amulet did. All of their amulets have high dex, vitality, critical hit damage of 60% or higher and critical hit chance of 7% or higher. If you want to grab a legendary amulet then grab Ouroboros, it has the crit chance and can roll with dexterity plus you get a fair amount of life on hit. You will want this to roll with critical hit damage as well as extra dexterity or vitality to make it better than the rare item choices out there.
|
Finger: unity
Unity is the first ring we'll grab and if we could have two of them I would. The only thing this ring needs to roll with to be perfect for DPS is attack speed or critical damage, or all resists or vitality for defense. You get a decent amount of life on hit from this ring and a chance for a respectable amount of strength.

weapons
1-hand: blade of the warlord
If you want to go with a mighty weapon (meaning you have 50% crit without the 10% bonus from weapon master) and want to get 3 fury per hit with your weapon then you should opt for Blade of the Warlord and hope for critical damage or a socket. You get strength, high dps, attack speed and 19-20 life per fury spent! News flash: we spend a lot of fury.
|
1-hand: bulkathoss solemn vow
There aren't a lot of awesome choices for off hand weapon in my opinion but Bulkathoss Solemn Vow has pretty close to everything we need. We just need it to roll with either close to 100% critical damage or a socket. Another good choice is Azurewrath which can roll with upwards of 20% attack speed but it has lack luster stats and no life on hit which we really need on our weapon. Let me know your opinions on off hands!
